A note from the founders

Tashi Delek,

We are a couple who met in the US after moving here from two different countries. Our family keeps Tibetan traditions, and as we built our life together and welcomed our son, we both noticed how difficult it was for Tibetans around the world to connect with each other.

Today many Tibetans are struggling to find meaningful connections within the Tibetan community. It's challenging to find new friends, someone to share values with, or even a life partner. Living all over the world, often in small pockets of communities, it's not always easy to meet others who truly understand our language, culture, and traditions.

First we thought that the dating websites for Tibetans, might in some ways, be used to keep the community connected. But soon we realized that although a few Tibetan dating websites exist, they all cannot be actually used without paying a subscription of some kind. For many in our community, these fees can feel like a barrier. We wanted to change that.

So we envisioned TibetanCircle as a safe, welcoming, and free to use space where Tibetans can come together to make friends, share experiences, and strengthen the ties that keep our culture alive. Where every connection, every friendship, every conversation is part of something bigger. It builds bridges across borders and generations, so Tibetans can continue to support one another no matter where in the world we live.

This project comes from our hearts. As parents, we think of our son's future and the world he will grow up in. We want him, and all young Tibetans, to feel proud of their identity and to know that there is a social circle where they are always welcome.

We are so happy and proud to introduce TibetanCircle to the Tibetan world. We hope you will use it, share it, and help it grow into a place where Tibetans everywhere can feel at home.

With love and respect,
Kunga & Ruslan
